Canadian Writers! Plague fiction!

We will continue to give all kinds of advice to those with an interest in studying in Canada, or even visiting or living in Canada, by highlighting our many writers and some of their published works. Reading Canadian fiction is a wonderful way to get familiar with the diversity of Canadian culture.

For obvious reasons, these days there has been a surge of renewed interest in The Plague, written by Albert Camus and published in 1947.

But another title for you to look for is called Songs for the End of the World. Written by Canadian writer Saleema Nawaz, the E-version of the book will be published April 14, 2020 with the printed version following this coming August, 2020. The book, which invents its own contagious disease, has remarkably anticipated many of the challenges the world is now facing.
