Great news today April 8, 2020! Canadian Prime Minister announced that for any company looking to hire any person between age 15 and 30, the government will pay even up to 100% of the minimum wage!
In Canada, the minimum wage, depending on which of its 10 Provinces, can be from over $11 per hour up to $15 per hour. For international students, who were hoping to work during the May to August summer break for universities and colleges, this means employers won’t have the financial pressure of finding the money to hire. Instead, they will get money from the federal government to encourage them to hire young people.
